Midpoint Apartments accommodates 76 students from the UK and around the world and is comprised of 16 apartments. Each apartment has an open plan kitchen/lounge area and each bedroom has its own en-suite. The apartments also have a door entry phone system.

Midpoint Apartments is located on Douglas Street in the city centre of Stirling. It is perfectly placed for buses and trains and very close to the bus route to Stirling University Campus.

Kitchen/Lounge Area
Our open plan kitchen/lounge area provides space for cooking, dining and socialising. These include:

  • Microwave
  • Dishwasher
  • Washer/Dryer
  • Two Fridges
  • Freezer
  • Built in Cooker, Hob with Extractor Fan
  • Vacuum Cleaner
  • Wall Mounted 37” LCD TV

You'll need to bring plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, cooking utensils and cleaning materials etc.

Bedroom
Each bedroom has:

  • A three-quarter bed
  • Internet connection point and WIFI
  • Study desk, fitted wardrobe & under bed storage
  • Convector radiator
  • Book shelves and pin board
  • TV aerial socket
  • Stylish en-suite shower room with electric towel radiator

You'll need your own bedding e.g. sheets, pillows and duvets.

Tenancy Dates
43 week tenancy beginning Wednesday 21st August 2019 and ending Wednesday 17th June 2020.

Reservation Rent
The reservation rent of £250.00 is due once you decide to take a room within Midpoint. This counts towards your overall rent as explained below. Should you proceed with your contract then this payment counts towards your total rent payment for the year and then becomes a non-refundable cost after 17th June 2019.

Rent
The rent is £490.00 per month per room. The weekly rent figure per room is £119.77. The total amount payable for the 43 week tenancy is £5150.00 (£490.00 x 10 monthly payments + £250.00 reservation rent). There is an additional £490.00 security Deposit to be paid which is held as per the government legislation.

Security Deposit
The security deposit of £490.00 covers the tenant’s own bedroom and en-suite facilities plus their share of all communal areas, including any damages caused to the stairwells by tenants. This is refundable at the end of the tenancy minus any deductions, other than fair wear and tear, that are deemed necessary. The property must be professionally cleaned on leaving.

Guarantor
All students must be able to provide a UK based financial guarantor. They will be required to complete and sign a 'Rent Guarantee' form making them liable for all rent payments and other monies payable under the tenancy agreement should the tenant default. If you are an overseas student and cannot provide a UK Guarantor you will be required to pay 3 months’ rent up front and you will also be expected to make rent payments on a monthly basis by standing order starting immediately, so you’re continuously 2 months’ rent in advance for the duration of your lease.

Included in Rent
Rent figure includes TV Licence and utility bills. Electricity is capped to £36.00 per week for a 4 bedroom apartment and £45.00 per week for a 5 bedroom apartment. For apartments that incur bills beyond this quota tenants are required to pay the balance on a joint and severally liable basis at the end of the tenancy.

Free internet is provided to all tenants within the development.

**We are verbally advised by TV Licensing that you do not need a TV License for your bedroom**

Insurance
Tenants are responsible for insuring their own belongings.

The viewings will start in February and will only be arranged once an application form has been returned to the office.
